Landscape Highlights on a Stroll through the Old SW

  • Columbia, MO United States (map)

Join us on a stroll through the Old SW neighborhood. The residential landscaping and gardens of numerous residences of this historic neighborhood will be observed (from the street or sidewalk) and discussed. A handout will be provided and some walking will be on uneven surfaces (poor quality sidewalks and on a footpath through a park). Your tour guide, James Quinn, is a retired horticulture specialist from Univ. of MO Extension, and has a rich depth of organizing and leading educational efforts with flowers, fruit, vegetables, greenhouses and ornamentals. He has enjoyed gardening/landscaping at the one acre yard of the Prairie Bungalow house ‘on Broadway’ that he’s resided at with his wife for 25+ years.

Reservations are required for this FREE ticketed event. Donations are appreciated. CoMo Preservation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code: EIN 92-3600391.
