Join us on a walking tour to learn about Columbia’s historic movie theaters and explore some of the stories of changes in our culture starting in 1897 reflected in movie theater architecture. This less than 1-mile, 2-hour stroll through downtown will provide a historical perspective on movie theaters: A discussion of the what, how, and why that powered the rise and fall of the movie theater industry in Columbia and nationwide. Your tour guide, Dianna Borsi O'Brien, is author of the book "Historic Movie Theaters of Columbia Missouri" and current president of CoMo Preservation.
