CoMo Preservation’s “Locate Our Logo Inspiration” Contest

We're thrilled to unveil our CoMo Preservation logo! A huge shout-out to the talented designer, Adrienne Luther! This project was a collaborative endeavor, drawing inspiration from nature, the charming architectural details found on Columbia's historic buildings, and the organic essence of the Midwest. The actual design that sparked our logo is etched in stone and nestled in the heart of Columbia. Are you up for an adventure? Ready to find the source of our logo's inspiration? We'll be dropping weekly clues to locate our inspiration while exploring Columbia’s unique architectural treasures. Anyone who successfully locates the design that inspired our logo and emails a selfie with it to CoMoPreservation@gmail.com by May 22 will be entered into a drawing at our Cake & Cocktails event on May 28 for a chance to win a Cafe Berlin gift card. So let the search begin!

Clue #1 of 4: The source of our logo's inspiration lies within one block of Broadway, sandwiched between Providence Road and College Ave and viewable from the sidewalk.

Clue #2 of 4: This emblematic spot has been home to the inspiration for our logo since 1934, think stone and brass.

Clue #3 of 4: Look for the inspiration for our logo on one of Columbia’s numbered streets (again, between Providence Road and College Avenue).

CoMo Preservation is devoted to helping homeowners, landlords, and institutions prevent the destruction of historic architecture. Original period styles might be replicated, but will forever lack the social history of authentic structures. The preservation of historic places and spaces gives people a sense of place and boosts Columbia’s economy. You can get involved by volunteering, signing up for our mailing list, attending an event, becoming a member or donating.
