Give yourself a priceless gift
Membership in CoMo Preservation offers you a priceless gift. If you join before midnight on Dec. 31, 2023, you’ll be recognized as a Founding Member. No matter when you join, your yearly membership will give you the gift of posterity — a contribution toward preserving the unique historic architecture of Columbia for the future.
CoMo Preservation is the only nonprofit in Columbia dedicated to preserving its unique historical architecture — the places and spaces that envelop our history. Your contribution of $20 a year will support activities to increase awareness of the importance of historic preservation. These activities include creating and offering free historic walking tours, monthly informational meetings, a calendar highlighting area historical events, a website filled with information on buildings and places ranging from the J.W. Blind Boone House to the Broadway Diner as well as information on how to maintain and repair older buildings and a list of artisans skilled in repairing buildings.
CoMo Preservation is dedicated to promoting the awareness, and preservation of our historic properties, neighborhoods and landscapes through education, advocacy and restoration.
Started May 7, 2022, and incorporated as a nonprofit on April 17, 2023, CoMo Preservation cooperates and supports other Columbia organizations dedicated to highlighting and preserving our history. These organizations include the African-American Heritage Trail organization, the Boone County History & Culture Center, the City of Columbia’s Historic Preservation Commission, and the State Historical Society of Missouri.
